Jurassic Coast Cruise and Crabbing with Grandma Suzie and Grandpa Doug (and Stonehenge)

This morning (after playing with the new minion spinning musical toy and Hailey trying on her new whale boots and multiple other pairs of shoes and boots and showing them around Poole a bit and helping them get a SIM card) we set out to do the Jurassic Coast Cruise with my parents. It cruised by Brownsea Island and the Harry Rocks, out to Swanage and back. Ethan and my dad were particularly buddy buddy. The weather was not as nice as expected and rained but was find since we were inside the boat (would have been a little nicer on a totally clear day but what can us do?).

Here are the kids having fun splashing in the puddles, waiting for the boat to depart.

Grandma Suzie and the kiddos on the back of the boat. Grandpa Doug is up top taking pics and Ethan is suffering withdrawals.

Bye bye Poole.

Brotherly love:

Look at that mischievous grin:

On the boat, we met and chatted with this Welsh family that was really nice. The little girl (3rd grade) was playing "peekpoo" (instead of peekaboo, that's what they say!) with Hailey. She said Hailey was quite "cheeky". (Ha, we get that comment a lot, it's true.) :) and they had a son that was also starting Reception this fall.

Grandma smelling Stinky MooMoo. Ethan was all sweaty the other day during his nap and told us that he wipes his forehead with MooMoo. So I jokingly called him "Stinky MooMoo" and Ethan said, "No, his name is just MooMoo." Touchy subject. :)

On guard.

Like a girl in a candy store. :) Little treat from grandma and grandpa.

Some window shopping:

Let's go crabbing!

We talked grandpa into picking up a crab for our amusement:

It cracks me up how Ethan is holding Hailey back from touching the crab:

We got Grandma Suzie hooked on crabbing. Here she is helping Ethan with the net:

We caught 8 this time!

Examining the catch:

The kids don't seem to be cooperating for a family photo:

Watching the crabbies race back into the water:

When Chris got home we had a lovely fish bbq that my dad raved about. Wine, dessert...

We took the baby monitor outside to catch the last Thursday fireworks show of the summer. It was about a half hour long and quite impressive (we usually hear it but don't see it). And watched the band outside for awhile. They were pretty good but were having technical difficulties (the poor lead singer was scrambling trying to get the mike replaced and working again) and we heard the beginning to "Summer of 69" at least four times.

Then Friday we drove to Stonehenge on our way to the airport. Obligatory England destination. After it taking 2hrs to get there (instead of 1hr. 15min.), we just had to hand off the kids and take off for the airport to catch our flight to Sicily for our weekend away. I got a driveby pic and seeing it that way was enough for me. :) However, my parents and the kids took a nice tour.
