Ethan's First Day of School!

Ethan looked so handsome and grown up in his little uniform! It was hard to get Hailey and him to take a picture-they were running around and it was mayhem! Grandma and Grandpa got to be here for his big send-off too before they left to go travel around some more and head home (it probably helped Ethan not get all upset that they were leaving since he was going into school and there was so much going on). I didn't get emotional at him starting school either, I think I've come to terms with it (and there was too much going on).

He even has a matching book satchel:

In front of the school sign before heading into his "seahorse" Reception class with teachers Miss Hearn and Mrs. Winter:

Ethan had no qualms--he just walked right in to his new class and started taking inventory of the toys (looking to see if they had a Finn McMissle car):

He didn't even notice that dad and I were in there taking pictures of him. He was in his own little world and walked right past us, on a mission.

His first week has gone pretty well. Here's what he's had to say:
-"All the other kids are so quiet!" (Ha, or maybe just our kids are loud!)
-"My teachers are nice."
-"There are no Finn McMissile or Japanese car toys."

But apparently some boys scratched him or were being mean and one ran into him with the trike but he said they got in trouble so apparently it was handled (and hasn't happened again since).

But then he tells me these stories about an air show and tanks at school so it's hard to know what to believe. :)
