Rhyme Time

This morning Ethan got a (much-needed) haircut at the Men's Room Barbershop. He did really well-his only concern was whether he was going to get a "Popsicle" (lollipop) afterwards. They did a great job and there were 3 men waiting by the time we left so it must be a popular place (luckily we hit it at just the right time). Good-easy peasy, done! (You'd be surprised how many times Ethan has ended up with a botched haircut.) We'll have to send Chris there next. :)

Then we went to the Poole Library for Rhyme Time. The description said "kids under 5" but it seemed to be just babies. Both of my kids seemed uninterested and were just wandering off and looking at books instead. They did however, take the little musical instruments and play with those. I was surprised to learn that they sing the Hokey Pokey completely different--totally different words!

We checked out like 13 more books. We found some really cute ones! I wanted to check out "The Theory of Everything" (Movie about Steven Hawking) but apparently that is just on at the theatre and hasn't yet released to DVD here. I forgot that movie releases here are delayed.

Ethan got a Hello Kitty toothbrush at the Pound Store that he is all excited about-kind of cool that it has a suction attached to the bottom to stand it up and comes with a cover (way better than the Winnie the Pooh option).

And Hailey is too distracted by her belly button to eat:

These were my latest Cadbury products to try:

The Mellows are just as good as they look. I knew they must be good when they were the last container of them on the shelf and I think the people in line behind me were eyeing them as well. Sorry, too slow Bobby Joe. :) The buttons are just when you need a little smidge of good chocolate (ha, or end up devouring many smidges of chocolate over the course of the day).

We met Deborah (wife of guy next door that we met earlier). Sweet lady that offered the kids each a biscuit (cookie). These English people and their biscuits crack me up. Oh, last weekend right by where we live they had a Biscuit Festival (but we were in Cambridge for the weekend so we missed it). Apparently they had free biscuits and tea to dunk it in (naturally), a knob (biscuit) throwing competition and made a giant biscuit mural.

It's nice and sunny and in the 60's today. Tomorrow is supposed to be 70 so we'll head to the Bournemouth beach!
