Easter Sunday!

Today Ethan hunted for our decorated Easter eggs first thing and then we all went through our Easter baskets.

Ethan is obsessed with candy and loves carting his basket (and the other three as well!) around the house with him. Then we got dressed in our Easter Sunday best and went to St. James (Church of England-Protestant church of some sort) which is a block away so we could just walk! Hailey was tired and so it was a challenge making it through the service but luckily they had a kids area in the back that we retreated to with her a few times.

We took a few pictures in our courtyard. Having Ethan in khakis and Hailey in a white dress is a ticking time bomb. :)

We stopped in to the Little Teapot (ha, every time I walk by that place the song gets stuck in my head!) and got coffee, jelly filled cake and a Chocolate Hot Cross Bun (toasted and buttered of course):

Mmm, must admit I like this non-traditional slightly different version better than the regular ones. We sat on the pier to eat our treats:

After naps we got to work making Easter din. Chris was determined to have cheesy potatoes so much that he chopped up fries (they didn't have the right kind of hash brown ones), went to the store for an onion and substituted yogurt for sour cream (he thought clotted cream was sour cream but it is like whipped butter). He barbecued a pork leg and some little bangers as well. I made Cobb Salad and "Raspberry Delight" with fruit (I was in search of jello which they call "jelly" and it is sold pre-made in a gelatinous blob the size of a bar of soap--I bought a lemon one in case one of the kids get sick). And I thought that these packets underneath that were called "Raspberry Delight" (other flavors as well) were jello but you add milk to make it and it is more like a parfait.

It was good, regardless, just not jello. While we ate it, Chris and I started singing "Afternoon Delight" and then "Raspberry Delight...the kind you find at the grocery store" (to the tune of "Raspberry Beret"). We are such nerds but we were all having fun and the kids got into it. Hailey will sing the tune and then clap for herself-she is a crack up lately. Ha, she kept bending forward to grab something and farting (probably like 7 times at least)-it was hilarious.

The kids ate a ton and we did as well--good meal but we were all so full!
