Guinness Brewery!

One thing we somehow forgot this trip was the stroller! We usually keep the green "travel" stroller in the car trunk but they switched our car on Friday (they sold it and gave us a different new BMW-more of a sedan style and only 3inches on each side when pulled into our tight garage) and we forgot to put the stroller into the trunk of the replacement car. Anyways, these kids ride in the stroller way too much (mostly because it's easier/quicker for me to get Ethan to school and since we walk so much and go long distances, it would take ages if I couldn't speed walk) and have gotten spoiled as a result. We heard an incredible amount of whining about walking. The drama. The things these kids have to do, oh my...

At first Chris was suggesting we walk 1.5-2mi. to the Guinness Brewery but I insisted it was probably a good idea to take the street car since it was over a mile away (which seems to be their threshold). Thank goodness, they were pretty tired and worn out and we needed to get home pretty quickly for much-needed naps.

The Guinness Brewery is pretty much the mother of all breweries! It is housed in a 7-story state of the art facility and is very impressive.

Ha, it also happens to be located right next to a church:

This was our second attempt at a family pic (the first person didn't manage to get the sign in the pic which was kind of key). :)

Chris looks like a giant here:

The kids were super excited too:

It's all about the water! (See, I told you it was state of the art!)

Hailey was having a great time until she got upset when she realized that she didn't get a beer with her ticket as well (just a lame glass of juice instead):

Trying to get that pint of Guinness. The whole advertising floor was different from when I had been here 10 or 11 years ago. I think they did a revamp in 2013 for a big anniversary of the beer:

Hailey is perplexed by this one:

While Chris and the kids were napping (Chris and I took turns going out for 1.5hrs.), I did some speed sightseeing. This is a mall (I can't remember the name, it starts with a P) that is in this Lord's old city townhouse. Really unique setup:

Every university library has a classical pianist, right? :)

Guinness with every meal (I got cider this time):
