Scouting the Area

Today we drove around Poole, Bournemouth, and Wimborne to check out the areas to see where we want to live. The townhouse Chris checked out on Fri. in the Quay of Poole (right by the water) looks like a really cool area and you can walk to shops, pubs, restaurants etc and there is a lot to do in the area. It has a garage and the townhouse is furnished, which is nice. Downside is that it would be a 30-40min. commute for Chris to work and he would need the car every day (unless his coworker Sunny gets a place nearby and they can carpool together sometimes).

Wimborne (town where Boeing supplier Cobham is located--where Chris is working) is a super cute little town with a lot of character (lots of little old brick buildings, cobblestone streets and cute shops and pubs etc.). Would be nice to be close to Chris' work and close to town but furnished places are non-existent and  even unfurnished places close to town are harder to come by. So, debating if we should hop on the Poole Quay townhouse or hold out for new listings in Wimborne.

Then we went to dinner with Jim at Lotus  Thai/Chinese buffet restaurant. You could order whatever you want off the menu in different courses. It came in little portions so it was fun to order a bunch of different things and try everything! Hailey was really liking the duck-we had to order more just for her! Ethan was back to normal today (so glad the puking thing was just for a day).

English pubs have the oddest names. My favorite so far is The Slug and Lettuce Pub. Shoulder of Mutton was another interesting one...

Here's a pic of Hailey's makeshift high chair for now:
