Journey to England

This morning Ethan told me that it looked like I needed a nap. I said, "oh, why?" to see what he said. And he replied, "You just look tired." Touché touché. :) He was absolutely right. It had been a busy stressful few weeks getting everything and everyone ready to move to England on somewhat short notice. But it will be totally worth it! We were running around doing stuff right up until the airport shuttle showed up (early, I might add) and miraculously made it through our list. It was a sigh of relief to just be able to sit on the airplane and be on our way.

We meet an English guy in the elevator named Len that joked with Ethan about sitting next to him and then he really ended up randomly sitting next to him on the flight--too funny!

Champagne? Yes, please. I think that was my first time flying business class. I'm not going to lie, it was quite nice. We brought way too much stuff though. (As you can see in the pic below...) We really didn't need as much to keep the kids entertained on the plane since it was a night flight and they have those screens at every seat. We need to whittle down the carry-ons next time because we were a big awkward mess.

Hailey fell asleep around 10pm and got 4-5hrs. of sleep. The rest of us got 1-2hrs. At least everyone was in good spirits. :) The kids and I had a nice 2hr nap in the car on the drive to Poole (poor Chris was in the front talking to the driver). We paid the price that night, however... Both of the kids were breaking down and Hailey was a hot mess. This time transition might take awhile... :)

Chris and I totally had B.O. after the flight and it felt so good to take a shower (after we figured out how to turn on the hot water heater).

Here we are with the baggage. 9 checked pieces. :) We also shipped 900lbs of stuff (to include camping gear and bikes).

Chris took the kids to watch the planes take off and get loaded with luggage/food while I sat with the luggage and stuffed my face with Cadbury milk chocolate eggs.

The kids were totally mesmerized.

We celebrated our arrival and a successful flight with fish and chips, Guinness and a Scotch egg (ball of deep fried goodness with pork, beer and a boiled egg in the center) at a place near we were staying in Poole, called The Cow.

Check out the massive fish and chips!
Scotch egg-yum!
