Accentuate the Positive

Ethan has had kind of a negative attitude lately (hopefully just a phase) and Chris and I are trying to help him work on this. You can only say so much of "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all..." before you start driving yourself crazy. So the other day I started singing, "You've got to accentuate the positive, eliminate the negative." Catchy little tune that I can't get out of my head now. Turns out it applies to just about everything. Bully boy at school Nickoli, random complaining and whining, playing nicely, etc. Ha, maybe I could benefit from that at times as well... :)

Tonight when we went to get Thai takeout, Ethan was bored (and kind of acting up) and went up to this couple that was sitting down dining at a table and said "What's goin' on?". They were kind of taken back. They did look kind of awkward like maybe it was their first date or something. Maybe Ethan helped them break the ice and share a laugh?
