Hailey is 2! Adventures with Paddington

Today Hailey had her swim lesson in the morning. (She loves it, she just gets chattering teeth halfway through when she gets cold. Last week she yelled "No" about floating on her back any more but she was happy as a clam this week.) Chris worked a half day from home and then watched the disappointing GB football game from the previous evening. The kids were excited to have daddy at home and I heard Ethan tell his buddy Aiden, "My daddy is at home today!" Both of them excitedly burst through the door. After I got Ethan from school and the game finished, Hailey opened her presents. Ethan opened the first one and then handed it to her. We got after him and said that he can help her open them but they are her presents and she needs to open them as well. He left the room and sulked for awhile but then came around and they opened her presents together. He was being really cute with her.

Ethan made up this song for when Paddington comes walking along, "do do dooooo, Paddington Bear". Can't replicate without hearing the tune but it's catchy and we do it all the time now. The kids are at such a cute age right now (and even cuter when they are buddies/playing together). We've been having a lot of fun together.
